José Rosario Godoy (Agaete, Gran Canaria. 1965) Visual artist has made numerous collective and individual exhibitions, recently highlighting the exhibitions "La Mirada Azul" at the Museo Antonio Padrón "A Dos" at the Magda Lázaro Gallery and "Espejismo Abstracto", a review of my last 20 years of work, produced by CAAM, (Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno) in the San Martín Center for Contemporary Culture. His work has been exhibited in different galleries in Berlin, Lisbon, Seville, Santander, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria... also participating in various editions of the Arco Fair in Madrid, New Art Barcelona, Arte Lisboa, Arte Santander, Foro Sur... Self-taught, he won the first prize of Canarias de Artes Plásticas in 1981 , and prize at the Telde Plastic Arts Biennial (Gran Canaria) in 1993. He participated in the Arte Actual workshops (1985-87) as a student of Juan Genovés, Hernández Pijuan and Jordi Teixidor. Some of his works are part of public and private collections in Spain, London, Italy, Berlin... he has made sculptures and public interventions in Cantabria, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.
